Information related to the importation of machinery into Northern Ireland.
Importing agricultural and construction machinery into Northern Ireland
When importing agricultural and construction machinery into Northern Ireland, note that:
- all used agricultural and construction machinery will be thoroughly inspected on arrival at Northern Ireland Ports
- all empty livestock vehicles must be thoroughly clean before entering Northern Ireland; inspections will be carried out on all such consignments
- unclean machinery will be required to be re-exported at owner/haulier’s expense
- currently washing in Northern Ireland Ports is prohibited
- currently no Cleansing and Disinfection Certificate is required for imported machinery or for empty livestock vehicles
